The EU issued a final anti-dumping ruling! my country’s titanium dioxide export costs may increase

On September 3, the Titanium Dioxide Branch of the National Center for the Promotion of Chemical Productivity reported that the Department of Internal Market Protection of the Eurasian Economic Union recently officially issued a final anti-dumping ruling announcement on titanium dioxide (titanium dioxide) products originating in China, clearly pointing out that the product was dumped and determining that the dumping had caused substantial damage to the relevant industries in the Eurasian Economic Union. Based on this, they recommended that anti-dumping duties be imposed on producers/exporters from China for a period of 5 years.

In terms of specific tax rates, the tax rates of Longbai Group Co., Ltd., Henan Billions New Materials Co., Ltd., Longbai Lufeng Titanium Co., Ltd., Longbai Sichuan Titanium Co., Ltd. and Longbai Xiangyang Titanium Co., Ltd. are 14.27%; the tax rates of Shandong Dawn Titanium Co., Ltd. and other Chinese producers/exporters are 16.25%. The products involved are pigments with a dry titanium dioxide content of 80% or more, but do not include titanium dioxide used in the production of fragrances and cosmetics, medicines and food.
“This is another anti-dumping incident against China’s titanium dioxide industry after the EU anti-dumping was implemented, which to a certain extent intensified the global ‘encirclement and interception’ of China’s titanium dioxide exports.” Industry analysts pointed out. Analysts said that compared with the EU anti-dumping, the Eurasian Economic Union’s anti-dumping duties on Chinese titanium dioxide products have a limited impact in terms of the countries covered and the tax rate. But overall it will affect my country’s titanium dioxide exports.
It is understood that domestic titanium dioxide companies have taken active actions. According to Li Jianli, general manager of Dawn Titanium Co., Ltd., after the Eurasian Economic Union issued the final anti-dumping ruling on China’s titanium dioxide, the company responded to the lawsuit in a timely manner. In the later stage, the company will further tap its internal potential, strengthen cooperation with scientific research institutions, increase scientific and technological innovation and new product development, take the road of refined and segmented products, reduce costs, improve quality and resolve risks.
